Between A Harsh Word and A Gun (MUC and OC)

This classroom-only course takes dives into the realm of problems that are serious enough to need action, but not serious enough to warrant a lethal response with the use of a gun. Appropriate for those who do not carry a gun in public (yet), or those that do but want "something between a harsh word and a gun."

This course offers practical application-based training that explores the techniques and tactics needed to avoid, deflect, de-escalate, or prevail in a street crime incident or home defense incident. Specific teaching points include:

• The MUC paradigm (Managing Unknow Contacts)
• Dealing with ambiguous but potentially dangerous common street encounters
• The criminal assault paradigm
• Common tactics used by criminals
• Less than lethal force alternatives and where they apply in the real world
• Pepper Spray (OC) use Buying an effective product​ Which spray to choose for YOUR needs How to utilize OC for maximum effect
• Recognition of pre-criminal assault behavior
• How to avoid being a victim
• Use of force decision making and it's context in various scenarios
• Non-gun home defense tools
