The 1911 and 2011 platforms have made a comeback. After a few decades of striker-fired pistols, there is a lot to learn about this design and how to utilize it. Come out and learn how to work these pistols, including the thumb and grip safeties.

DESCRIPTION
We will focus on the mechanics of using the 1911/2011 platforms and their use in solving realistic problems regardless of your profession. I spent 20+ years carrying, competing, training, and teaching with the 1911a1.
You will gain the skills (and confidence) to use the thumb and grip safeties appropriately rather than bypassing them.
Before this class, you should be comfortable drawing your handgun from the holster, reloading it, and clearing any stoppages.
